Artist's Comments: "This is another experimental piece. I had been working in the graphics field for quite some time when I painted this piece which probably explains its graphic nature. I have always been a fan of the cowboy, or at least the fantasy of the cowboy. As a child, cowboys always seemed larger than life, yet lean and lanky. That's what gave me the idea to paint a cowboy, and his horse, of course, one and a third times taller than real life.
"The cowboy is painted in oil over dye. The sky is oil on textured paper. The border is also textured paper painted with oil. the border is sign painter's enamel, marker and crayon ."
