Artist's Comments: "This is another experimental piece. I saw a model in a very plain but pretty dress and imagined it to be black. I put a pure, white rose in her hands; light in contrast with darkness. There she stands as if in the garden, yet not in; longing to be back where the page hadn't turned and longing for the current page to turn again.

"The woman is painted on paper which is glued to the rest of the painting which is done on canvas. The edge of the page is real paper turned up. This piece is owned by my oldest daughter who always admired it from when she was a little girl ."
