| "Twenty one years ago today, my wife and I had our first girl...we named her Brianna Colleen. For the first year she had the blue-est eyes I had ever seen. I thought for sure I had beaten the odds and we were going to have a blue eyed girl, but almost to the day on her first birthday they turned brown...but they are a green sort of brown, not as green as I have painted them but my theme for this painting is "green". This is first in a series of paintings that depict the primary and secondary colors for which I will be using one or the other of my two daughters as models. Enjoy!" |
